Prabha Balakrishan is currently one of the most popular names you hear when it comes to Indian film music vocalists in Toronto. He is also a song writer and event coordinator for major music concerts within the Tamil Community globally. Born in to a family of musicians, his family contributed towards his passion and growth towards music. Prabha has also been undergoing intensive training since 2007 with Karthik Ramalingam (a disciple of Pandit Krishnanand of the Kirana Gharana) to enhance his vocals to become a world class vocalist.

EARLY LIFE :

Prabha was introduced to music right from childhood. His intense passion for music empowered him to partake in local concerts and competitions in Sri Lanka. He later moved to United Kingdom (UK) and graduated in Computer Science (Double Major in Business & IT) from Middlesex University. He is now settled in Canada, currently working as a financial professional while continuing his musical journey.

MUSIC CAREER :

Prabha Balakrishnan is a name many Tamils in the GTA and globally recognize. He has received many appreciations from India's top singers and musicians for having the ability to sing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam with ease. His trademark is, his unique texture of his voice that many adore. While continuing to sing for leading musical bands in Toronto, Prabha also works with young composers to produce quality music tracks and jingles. Prabha has also earned a reputation as a soulful bhajan singer and is a past Bhajan coordinator for the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Scarborough.
